Our Staff

Our staff is mainly composed of writers and editors, who have access to useful information in a variety of fields and have strong connections with Japanese media and opinion leaders such as politicians, financial leaders, designers, copy-writers and so on.

President
Masao Ninagawa

Masao was a top reporter and editor at Japan's leading Asahi Shimbun newspaper (circulation 8 million) for over 30 years. He served as New Delhi correspondent and also edited the paper's Weekly Asahi publication. In 1988, he launched Asahi's weekly news magazine AERA, a new kind of magazine in Japan at the time, roughly comparable to Newsweek or Time. He was editor-in-chief and publisher of the magazine for 8 years. Drawing on his wide knowledge and deep experience, Masao launched J-CAST, Inc. in 1997.

Masao has strong links with movers and shakers in Japan --opinion leaders, top businessmen, politicians-- as well as with first-rate art directors, designers, copywriters and journalists. Human networks have become a key element of J-CAST's business.
